5 reasons why I’m happy and so is my husband
Today I had an interesting conversation with my husband about happiness. Somehow, we have both had the same conversation with different people we know. This will be an interesting listicle, I promise.
His conversation was with his friend who has just had his first child with his wife. And my conversation was with a teacher at work who is over 70 years old and has an artificial voicebox. We both admitted to them that we are happy, content and don’t feel like we’re missing anything. So let’s go into more detail.
The first reason is that we are both healthy. Call me cliche, but I truly think this is the foundation of happiness even if you consider my passion for healthcare and the beginnings of my career as a pharmacist. My husband has type 1 diabetes and injects himself with insulin several times a day. As a result, he has his blood sugar levels under control. And when they’re not, it’s ok.
The second is that we earn enough money to live a good life. Even though my husband is the major earner, there is no pressure to earn more. Our lifestyle is simple. Our monthly mortgage payment is an investment, our bills only account for the two of us, and we’re saving up for a new computer. Once we get the computer, our next goal is to travel again.
The third is that my husband loves his job as a secondary school teacher, and I am free to be an entrepreneur. He is always encouraging me to try new things. I’ll admit that seeing what I want to do beyond pharmacy has been a…
